Temple Construction Purpose
The Bhoomi Puja for the new temple was done in 2013 and construction begun. The new temple aims to provide a space with new facilities and to better serve the community. It serves as both a religious and an education center for the devotees and local community.
In 2015, the structure for the temple building was raised and construction was continued. The completion progress reached 40% at the beginning of 2020. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, construction was temporary halted and resumed in the beginning of 2021. Currently, the construction has reached 45% of its completion. The expected completion for the temple building is in 2025.
Sri Muniswarar Temple was established in 1881 and is currently located on government gazette area for roads. The temple management decided to re-locate the temple by building a new temple in an officially endorsed area of 11,000 sqf to give way to road expansion in the future.
