Temple Construction Purpose
The Bhoomi Puja for the new temple was done in 2013 and construction begun. The new temple aims to provide a space with new facilities and to better serve the community. It serves as both a religious and an education center for the devotees and local community.
Construction work continues in 2026 with ongoing site progress and temple development works. The latest construction photos from May 2026 have been added below for devotees and well-wishers to follow the progress.
Sri Muniswarar Temple was established in 1881 and is currently located on government gazette area for roads. The temple management decided to re-locate the temple by building a new temple in an officially endorsed area of 11,000 sqf to give way to road expansion in the future.
